基于电位滴定分析的改性沥青中苯乙烯-丁二烯-苯乙烯嵌段共聚物(SBS)质量分数检测

摘 要: 基于国内外缺失快速准确测定改性沥青中苯乙烯-丁二烯-苯乙烯嵌段共聚物(SBS)掺量的方法技术,从而对改性沥青的质量监控带来很大困难,提出一种基于电位滴定分析的改性沥青中SBS掺量(质量分数)检测方法。该方法的基本步骤是:往改性沥青溶液中加入韦氏试剂,在(35±2) ℃下搅拌反应2 h;加入碘化钾溶液搅拌反应3 min,使用硫代硫酸钠溶液进行氧化还原滴定,通过电位滴定分析确定滴定反应终点。研究结果表明:电位滴定所消耗硫代硫酸钠溶液的体积与SBS掺量之间有很好的线性函数关系,通过待测改性沥青样本所消耗硫代硫酸钠溶液的体积可计算出该样本中SBS掺量;该方法能有效克服沥青深色背景及滴定过程中产生的沉淀对常规滴定分析的影响,SBS掺量检测相对误差小于0.5%。

Quantitative detection of mass fraction of styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS) in modified asphalt via potentiometric titration

Abstract:Considering that the lack of a method to dynamically monitor the SBS content in modified asphalt is becoming a barrier to the quality control of the SBS modified asphalt, a rapid and quantitative detection method based on potentiometric titration was developed. The basic procedures were as follows: A series of modified asphalt solution with determined SBS content was mixed with Wijis reagents. After two hours of reaction at constant temperature of (35±2) ℃, 3 min reaction of the mixture with potassium iodide solution was conducted to transfer the left Wijis reagents to iodide. Then a redox titration was realized by dropping sodium thiosulfate standard solution, and the potentiometric titration analysis was applied to acquire the reaction end point. The results show that there is a good linear function between the SBS content and the volume of sodium thiosulfate solution consumed by the SBS modified asphalt. In this way, the SBS content in an unknown sample solution can be calculated accurately by its depletion of sodium thiosulfate solution. The potentiometric titration can eliminate the side effects existing in the conventional chemical titration caused by deep color background of asphalt and the possible aggregation of asphalt during titration, and produce rapid titration result with the precision less than 0.5% relative tolerance.
